Tuyen Nguyen

Tuyền Nguyễn (b.Vietnam) is a painter from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. His work is characterised by bold movements, vivid colours and sharp outlines. Originally trained in lacquer painting, he graduated in 2018 with a BA in Painting from the Ho Chi Minh City University of FIne Arts. His works were showcased twice at the Fine Arts Museum of Ho Chi Minh City in 2016 and 2017. He also participated in the Young Artists Biennale in 2017 and in A. Farm’s first group show All Animals Are Equal in 2018. In 2019, he was awarded a residency as part of A. Farm’s Season 1. His first solo exhibition, Manimal, was launched at Craig Thomas Gallery in Ho Chi Minh City (2020). He also joined his first group show abroad with Unlearning at Richard Koh Fine Art in Singapore. Most recently, Tuyền is amongst the artists selected in the Factory Contemporary Art Centre’s Materialize program.
