» No Cai Bum Art week – Da Lat Mong Mo

Nguyen Art Foundation proudly co-sponsors No Cai Bum, a traveling contemporary art week curated by artists in Vietnam. In 2022, No Cai Bum returns with the theme Da Lat Mong Mo, co-organized by Sao La Collective (Nguyen Kim To Lan, Nguyen Duc Dat, Tung Khet, Sunny), Hoang Anh (Hey! Storm), Symbioses, NEST Studio and Mo Do. This year’s program is supported by the Literature and Arts Association of Lam Dong Province and the Lam Dong Cultural and Arts Center, Nha San Collective, San Art, A Song, Morua Arts Project – MAP, Nguyen Art Foundation, Dogma Collection, Pho Ben Doi, Youi’s art space, Stop and Go, Dom Dom, DocLab, Ba-Bau Air, Heritage Space, Colab Vietnam, Barefoot Venture, Horizon Villa, De Me handcrafted beer, Phu Luc (Appendix), Then Café, Group of Ten and Gang of Five, and other local partners such as the Dalat University, Lycée Yersin, Hoa Binh Exhibition Center and Children Palace.

Returning for its second season under the title Da Lat Mong Mo, No Cai Bum invites artists and the public on an immersive exploration of Da Lat’s picturesque landscapes, transcending the geopolitical narratives that have shaped the region to embrace its contemporary essence. Situated 1,500 meters above sea level, the festival blends the physical altitude of Da Lat with the inner creative forces of artists, aiming to inspire, provide new perspectives, and celebrate the present moment through art.

No Cai Bum Da Lat Mong Mo 2022 brings together over 100 artists and art collectives from across Vietnam. Taking place at multiple locations and iconic landmarks throughout Da Lat, visitors are provided with an ‘art map’ to navigate the various exhibition spaces. The program features a wide range of events, including sports activities, workshops, discussions on art and ecology, performances spanning electronic music, traditional opera, and contemporary dance, as well as film screenings.

About No Cai Bum: No Cai Bum (NCB) is a traveling and decentralised contemporary art week co-initiated by artists Dao Tung, Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai, Truong Thien, Hoang Ngoc Tu, and curator Le Thien Bao in Hue City in 2020. Each season is organized by a group of artists in different cities in Vietnam, maintaining an open and inclusive spirit while fostering connections with art communities nationwide.
