Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai
Black landscape #6
Perceiving art as a carrier of memory and historical consciousness, Nguyen Art Foundation’s Main Collection includes works from different eras of Vietnamese art. From sketches and drawings made during the different wars, to works of various media by pioneering artists of the 1990s and 2000s, to critical and daring experimentations by young and emerging practitioners, our Main Collection houses and preserves Vietnamese history both past and present, as told through the lens of the visual arts. We seek, as well as celebrate, artworks that generate deep historical and contemporary resonance, create a powerful impact, and strongly embody a vision for the future.
