Laurent Weyl

Laurent Weyl (b. 1971, France) is an award-winning photographer whose documentarystyle approach is used to investigate social and environmental themes such as urban poverty and climate change. His socio-ethnographic works provide an insight into the functionality of rapidly urbanizing environments and the harsh living conditions they create. Laurent is a long-term resident of Vietnam and has published the photobook President Hotel in conjunction with his solo exhibition of the same name at MoT+++ in 2016. He joined Paris-based photographer collective Collectif Argos in 2001 and with them published Climates Refugees (2010), Gueule d’Hexagone (2012), and Footprints (2015).
