Dang Thuy Anh
Dang Thuy Anh (b. 1996, Vietnam) is a visual artist currently living and working in Hanoi. She graduated from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts in 2019, majoring in Graphic Design. Since 2017, Thuy Anh has been engaging more frequently in experimental art practices through various performance art events and exploring diverse media such as installation, photography, and conceptual approaches to art making. Her interests revolve around the connection between humans and nature, stereotypical visual motifs, and the impact of social prejudice on the conceptualization of gender. Thuy Anh often uses living organisms, natural resources, her own body, and her personal archives as materials in her art.
She was awarded the Finest Artist Award 2022–2023 by Hanoi Grapevine and received the Dogma Prize in 2023. In 2024, she became a member of the Curatorial Board at Á Space – An Experimental Art Space.
