Ken + Julia Yonetani

Ken Yonetani (b. 1971, Japan) and Julia Yonetani (b. 1972, Japan) form the artist duo Ken + Julia Yonetani. Through meticulous research into environmental and social issues, they transform urgent realities into works that are both unsettling and visually captivating. Their practice spans installation, video, and performance, and they have exhibited widely on the international stage.

Notable solo exhibitions include Next Generation, Hankyu Department Store Osaka Umeda Main Store, Osaka, Japan, 2025; Ken + Julia Yonetani: That is why I want to be saved, Kadokawa Culture Museum, Saitama, Japan, 2020; and The Last Temptation: the art of Ken + Julia Yonetani, National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, Australia, 2015.
