The series Cocoon takes as its starting point our collective life journey, which first begins within the safety of our mother’s womb, and then extends into the loving arms of our family. As we grow stronger and mature, we venture into real life, facing challenges and obstacles along the way. During moments of difficulty, the loving “cocoon” that is our family home will always be there, welcoming us back to recharge and restart. As sculptures made for public spaces, the Cocoon series not only symbolizes the idea of home and of return, but also functions as a resting place for tired feet.
