Without Voice

Print of a collage, unique

29.7 × 42 cm

This black-and-white collage, composed of two visual elements, depicts a figure situated within a tongue-like organ. The figure sits inside the tongue, holding a loudspeaker in their right arm. In the background, two additional figures are digitally duplicated and mirrored in a reduced scale, creating a rhythmic repetition that may be read as an echo of the voice. In this early work, Quynh Dong appears to engage with the foundational ideas of conceptual art – the reflection of the self-image.
