Sculpture is at the heart of Diem Phung Thi’s work. After an initial figurative period, the artist devised seven geometric forms that can be combined in a multitude of variations that are both autonomous and interconnected. This modular system allows for infinite renewal, as well as a multiplication of possible narratives and interpretations. Each work is an attempt to reconcile the visible and the invisible, the material and the immaterial, the real and the spiritual. Diem Phung Thi’s aim was to speak to everyone, so that art could be a link between people, cultures and eras.
