Houses and buildings are not just places to live and work; they also hold our private thoughts, witness our growth and shelter our dreams. Driven by this idea, the From Saigon Project aspires to retain the memories of the city through Lys Bui’s animated reexamination of iconic architectures, from apartment buildings, commercial centers to street level stores. Once an important part of people’s life, each of the buildings the artist depicted has been chosen for both their aesthetics and impression on our collective memory and imagination of Saigon.
