– with Mai Anh Le

Nguyen Art Foundation collaborated with ceramic artist Mai Anh Le (Clay Mai) and art teacher Yael Velez to organize a clay workshop for EMASI Van Phuc’s primary students. Following the rhythms of the ever-dancing artwork Shadows in the Garden 2 by artist Truong Cong Tung, which forms part of the exhibition Rhyming Gestures, the workshop encouraged students to engage in a lacquer-inspired clay-making activity, where they explored the shadow garden, unearthing its hidden entities, then recreating them with clay. Through the students’ playful creations, Truong Cong Tung’s blurred garden reveals itself, with its DNA strands, human figures, and resting ducklings under ancient trees.

This event is part of a series of public and education programs in association with Rhyming Gestures, an exhibition organized by Nguyen Art Foundation.
