Nguyen Kim Duy
Nguyen Kim Duy (b. 1987, Vietnam) graduated from the Vietnam University of Fine Art in 2008 and the Academy of Fine Arts, Nuremberg, Germany in 2014. As a multidisciplinary artist whose work questions the changing conditions of time and space in art and language, Kim Duy uses modest materials such as paper, ink and paint to explore ideas of minimalism, abstraction and repetition. Text appears regularly in his artworks as an allegory for the transmutation of information across individual subjectivities and temporalities. Kim Duy has participated in various solo and group exhibitions, artist residencies and other art events around Vietnam. In 2018, he was selected as a resident at A. Farm and has since become a member of MoT+++ collective.
