Le Cong Thanh

Mother and child
Beyond sculpture, Le Cong Thanh devoted equal passion to painting. Whether exploring abstraction or the timeless beauty of the female form, each of his brushstrokes bears a sense of decisiveness and vigor, as if shaped by the hands of a sculptor rather than painted with a brush. In his paintings, one encounters a meeting point between painting and sculpture – where line, light, and form converge into a unified artistic language: supple yet robust, expansive yet pure.
Large color fields and flowing curves, sometimes interrupted by a faint haze or a gentle scratch, lend his canvases a sense of radiant liveliness. His colors unfold and diffuse, carrying with them the breadth and depth of both his subjects and materials.
The work is on permanent display at International German School Ho Chi Minh City (IGS), Vietnam.
